Island Dog Rescue Adoption Network

Our Programs

Veterinary Care

Every dog who enters our rescue receives the veterinary care they need to survive and thrive. While some require only basic wellness care, many arrive injured, ill, or neglected and need extensive medical treatment. Thanks to dedicated partner veterinarians who go above and beyond, we are able to provide lifesaving care to dogs who otherwise would not have a chance. This program ensures every dog is given dignity, comfort, and a path toward healing.

Low-Cost Spay & Neuter

Overpopulation is at the heart of the animal welfare crisis. Thousands of dogs suffer each year from starvation, traffic injuries, and neglect simply because there are too many and too few resources. We believe prevention is essential.

Spay and neuter not only prevents unwanted litters, but also supports healthier, happier dogs. Most puppies under four months old are typically not altered, so many must be spayed or neutered after arriving at our rescue. We work with adopters to connect them to affordable spay and neuter options in their local communities, ensuring responsible care continues long after adoption.

Adoptions

Adoption is the happy ending to a difficult beginning. Our dogs come from challenging circumstances, but through foster care, medical treatment, and love, they are given a second chance. We focus on thoughtful, well-matched adoptions that set both dogs and families up for lifelong success. Every adoption not only saves one life—it makes room for the next dog in need.
